DeWalt was started in 1924 by Raymond DeWalt as a radial-arm-saw company. Today they’re Stanley Black & Decker’s pro-contractor brand, with the 20V Max and 60V FlexVolt battery platforms anchoring the cordless line. On the outdoor side they arrived late (2015) but with serious hardware.
DeWalt outdoor tools are aimed at the trade crew who already carries 20V batteries on the jobsite. Their mowers are heavy, their chainsaws are serious, and their trimmers are overkill for a 1/4-acre lawn. If you’re not running a tree-care business or a facility grounds crew, you probably want EGO instead.
Replacement blades for the 21″ and 22″ DeWalt mower decks, chains and bars for the 16″ DCCS620 and DCCS670 chainsaws (which use standard Oregon chain), trimmer heads and spools for the DCST922 platform, and air filter kits for the occasional gas-powered DeWalt that still ships.
