Press Kit
Short version: we are a 14-person worker-owned cooperative in Salem, Oregon, making replacement parts for garden and power equipment since 2011. Long version, logos, and founder bios below.
About the co-op
APOROZONA Cooperative Inc. was founded by Julia Porten in 2011 as a two-person machining shop above a feed store. We reincorporated as a California-registered worker cooperative in 2021 after the founding crew hit six members. Today we are 14 co-owners, all full-time, no investors and no board of directors other than the co-op's monthly stand-up vote.
We make roughly 2,400 SKUs of replacement parts for homeowner and light-commercial garden equipment. Most of our product is steel (blades, chain, guide bars, hand tools); about 20% is brass and polymer irrigation fittings; a small slice is electronic (trimmer head spools, specific battery adapters).
