The S56 is Oregon’s mainstream loop for 16″ bars — 3/8″ low-profile pitch, .050″ gauge, 56 drive links. The AdvanceCut branding indicates a low-kickback configuration with blue-tinted drive links for easy identification against a used chain of the same spec.
Same timing as 91PX — after five sharpenings or when the drive links ride proud. The S56 is functionally the same chain as 91PX sold under a different marketing SKU.
Don’t confuse the S56 (LP) with the D56 (standard pitch). They don’t interchange — the D56 has larger drive links and won’t seat in a 3/8 LP bar groove.
